Stephanie Preuß, PhD

Director Content Innovation, Springer Nature

Together with Niki, Stephanie leads the team responsible for ensuring the tool meets the needs of academic researchers. She has a PhD in Neuroscience, and is passionate about technology innovation and its applications for research.

Niki Scaplehorn, PhD

Director Content Innovation, Springer Nature

Niki applies his editorial experience to develop new tools to make communicating and sharing research faster and easier. A trained cell biologist and neuroscientist, he joined Nature Communications in 2012, becoming Chief Life Sciences Editor and later managing a portfolio of Nature Research journals in the life sciences.

Thomas van Dongen

Thomas is the technical lead of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions at Springer Nature, providing strategic direction and technical expertise to drive innovation and efficiency for tools such as Nature Research Assistant
